Ingenious/ Ingenuous

Ingenious means "clever": "Wesley's plan for saving the ship was ingenious."

Ingenuous means "na•ve" or "frank": "People take advantage of Woody's ingenuous ways."

Note that ingenuous is applied to people, but ingenious tends to be applied to people's work.
