In 1996, in the expectations of the 100th birthday of the breeder Pēteris Upītis, a lilac landscape park was established, where the visitors can enjoy the flowering of lilac varieties and hybrids created by Pēteris Upītis, as well as the most interesting lilacs of foreign origin.

Establishment of the park - gallery

A nice addition to the park were new lilac varieties and hybrids and the tulip collection donated by the breeder Laimonis Kārkliņš (1923- 2005) from Ķegums in 2004.

The visitors can see 200 lilac cultivars and hybrids, as well as collections of other ornamentals, for example, ornamental apples, plums, mountain ash, irises, daylilies, lilies. The garden can also boast guests from distant Japan– woody peonies growing far to the North.
